Born Alfredo Bowman on November 26, 1933 in Ilanga Village in Spanish Honduras, Dr. Sebi came to the United States as a 20-year-old self-educated man who was diagnosed with asthma, diabetes, impotency and obesity. After unsuccessful treatments with conventional doctors, Sebi was lead to a herbologist in Mexico.
Finding great healing success from all of his ailments, he began creating a natural compound from electric foods geared for intra-cellular cleansing and the revitalization of all the cells that make up the human body.
Inspired by the personal healing experience and knowledge he gained, he began sharing the compounds with others and gave birth to the USHA Research Institute, The Fig Tree and the Healing Village.

I am not refuting that, I disagree with Dr. Sebi’s (Alfredo Bowman) views on Melanin and saying he has cured AIDS. He has no medical qualifications at all. Also, he is presenting his information as if he knows everthing, that he is right and know one else is.

I know what carbon looks like and in all of its different forms, from graphite to diamonds etc etc. I am not an uneducated idiot as you make out. May I ask what are your qualifications? Of course Melanin is not on the Periodic Table
for it is not an element.. I have studied Biochemistry, Biology and Physiology, they are just some of the units required for a degree in nursing and a masters degree in nursing

You better google in images carbon and view what it looks like. And Dr Sebi is talking in terms of BIOCEMISTRY-where is melanin on that chart? The closest is Carbon. Melanin composition is C-H-O-N[Carbon-Hydrogen-Oxgen-Nitrogen]. CARBON is the largest component in that. Dr Sebi mentions the C-H-O and each element can be found in a chemistry chart.

Carbon does not determin a persons colour, Melanin does. Melanin is a pigment, synthesized by Melanocytes (cells) in the deepest layer of the epidermis, Marieb & Hoen,(2007) Human Anatomy & Physiology. Carbon (C) is an element and is number 6 in the Periodic Table. So Carbon and Melanin are not the same as some people think. Of course Carbon is found everyware, we are carbon based life forms.
