Then the grains eaten whole grains and bread is not the same enzyme-packed than the shoots. The buds are, frankly, a super-food is easy and fun to grow anywhere, all year round. Skin Benefits of Organic Virgin Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has many benefits and one of its great benefits is to our skin and hair. Learn how our skin can benefit from coconut oil.
Antiseptic fatty acids in coconut oil helps prevent bacterial and fungal infections of the skin when consumed and to some extent, when applied directly on the skin. The only way to penetrate the body except through natural openings, such as the nose and mouth, is penetrating the skin. When the defenses of the skin is broken, infection can result. Acne, ringworm, herpes, boils, athlete’s foot and warts are just some of the infectious diseases that can affect the skin and body.
The biggest obstacle for the chemical infectious organisms is the acid layer on the skin. Healthy skin has a pH of 5, making it slightly acidic. Our sweat (containing uric and lactic acids) and body oils promote this acidic environment. For this reason, the sweat and oil do us good. Harmless bacteria can tolerate the acid and live on the skin, but the bacteria can not thrive problems and their numbers are few.
Our skin is home to many small bodies, most of which are harmless and some are useful. At least one of the various bacteria is essential for a healthy environment for our skin. It feeds on sebum, breaks down triglycerides into free fatty acids. The bacteria actually feed the glycerol part of triglycerides. This leaves fatty acids, which have now been “liberated” from the glycerol group held them together. The fatty acids in the medium, which are bound glycerol unit as they are in coconut oil has antimicrobial properties. However, when broken down into free fatty acids, are a powerful antibiotic.
When coconut oil is placed on the skin, has no immediate antimicrobial action. However, when bacteria are always present in the skin turn these triglycerides into free fatty acids, as it does with sebum, the result is an increase in the number of antimicrobial fatty acids in the skin and protect against infection. Free fatty acids also help contribute to acid environment in the skin that repels pathogens.
Organic vs Natural Food
You are trying to care for the environment. You are trying to heal your body. Chemicals and pesticides are bad for your health and the health of our planet. But when it comes to food, it can be difficult to understand what is best. Diet experts and enthusiasts Green Living throwing around terms like “natural” and “organic”, but what do they mean? And which one is better, both for yourself and for Mother Earth?
Organic Vs Natural Foods
The fundamental difference between natural vs organic foods is that it adheres to the strict standards established by the Government, and not the other.
Organic
The USDA National Organic Standards Board has set the national standard for “organic” in 2000. According to these criteria, to be labeled organic, foods must be produced without the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides (with few exceptions), antibiotics, irradiation, genetic engineering, or growth hormones.
Natural
“Natural” by contrast, is not a legally protected term. In general, the industry uses the word to understand that food does not contain preservatives or she is treated worse than his lack of “natural” counterparts. Be careful with these products, although some of them may be better for you than non-specified “natural”, not necessarily from or killing pesticide products and labeling unless such are not organic.
Your best bet: buy organic. Not only can you be sure that the sources of your food follow strict rules regarding their techniques and facilities, but the food is simply better for you. In 2005, researchers found that nearly 30% of organic foods contained no detectable pesticides, another 30% contained only one pesticide, and slightly more than 40% contained more than one. One day, the USDA also define a measure of what exactly constitutes a “natural” food. Until then, stick with products that have been evaluated on a given benchmark, and lived up
